This page explains how Saybold handles information, what stays on your device, and when outside services are involved.
Speech recognition runs on your device. Saybold does not send your recordings to a cloud transcription service. This does not mean the app never connects to the internet: model delivery, Google Play billing, and related technical diagnostics involve external services. Android may also back up local app data according to your device settings.
1. Your dictation & local data
Saybold, provided by Evolvosofts, turns speech into text using speech models downloaded to your Android device. You do not need to create a Saybold account.
The app processes microphone audio for dictation and may keep the following in its internal storage:
- Recordings, including unfinished recordings retained so you can retry transcription.
- Original transcripts, reviewed text, timestamps, recording duration, and related word-activity totals.
- The name or package identifier of the app used for a dictation, when available, for local history and app-based browsing.
- Your personal vocabulary, learned corrections, selected contact names you choose to import, and app preferences.
- Downloaded speech models and local purchase-entitlement information.
The current app has no app-operated endpoint that uploads your audio, transcripts, vocabulary, contact names, or dictation history. When you choose to insert or copy text into another app, that app handles the text under its own policies. System backups are described below.
2. Permissions, with a purpose

You can change or revoke permissions in Android settings. Some features will stop working if their required permissions are disabled. Saybold does not request precise device location.
3. Downloads & service providers
Model files and catalog information are delivered over HTTPS through Amazon Web Services infrastructure, including CloudFront. Some downloads can fall back to Hugging Face. Requests disclose ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as an IP address, requested file or URL, request headers, and download or resume information.
AWS security tooling can retain sampled requests, including the client IP address, an IP-derived country, request headers, and the requested resource. These are operational and security records, not recordings or transcripts. Downloads do not attach your dictated words or contact list.
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their practices and retention periods are described in their policies:
4. Purchases & diagnostics
Google Play processes payments. Saybold receives purchase information, such as the purchased product, purchase token, signed receipt, and purchase or subscription state, so it can unlock features, restore access, and acknowledge purchases. Saybold does not receive your payment-card number.
The Google Play Billing library also sends technical diagnostics through Google’s infrastructure. These can include app version, device and Android build information, locale, timezone, and network or operator metadata. Billing is initialized when the app starts; this diagnostic activity is separate from speech recognition.
There is no separate app-operated advertising or behavioral-analytics SDK in the current build. This statement does not exclude the billing diagnostics and service request information described above. Saybold does not sell your dictations or use their contents for advertising.
5. Storage, retention & security
Local information is stored in the app’s internal Android storage. Completed recordings follow the app’s retention settings; the current default is 30 days, with a limit of 200 completed recordings. Unfinished recordings are excluded from automatic retention cleanup so you can recover them; they remain until you remove them or clear app data. The dictation feed keeps up to the most recent 100 entries. Activity totals can remain separately until you clear the relevant app data.
The app currently allows Android backup. Depending on Android version, device configuration, backup settings, and available quota, locally stored history, vocabulary, preferences, or audio may be included in system backups or device transfers. This is separate from sending audio to a speech-recognition service. Review your Android or Google backup settings if you do not want this behavior. See Android’s backup documentation.
Model delivery uses HTTPS. Local files benefit from Android’s app-storage protections and the security settings of your device. No app or service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim a separate layer of app-managed encryption for every saved file.
External providers control retention of their own operational, payment, and diagnostic records under their policies. Support correspondence is kept as needed to respond, resolve issues, and meet applicable obligations; you can contact us to request deletion. Deleting local app data does not automatically delete provider records, purchase records, support emails, or existing system backups.
6. Your choices & deletion
- Use the app’s controls to disable saved dictation history, clear available history or recording data, and remove vocabulary entries.
- Use Android’s app settings to revoke permissions or clear Saybold’s app storage. Clearing storage removes locally held models, preferences, and dictation data; use care with anything you want to keep.
- Review or remove system backups through the backup tools available on your device or Google account.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play subscriptions. Uninstalling Saybold or clearing its data does not cancel a subscription.
- Contact evolvosofts@gmail.com for questions or requests about information held by Evolvosofts. Include “Saybold privacy request” and enough detail to locate the relevant support correspondence or issue; do not send recordings or sensitive content unless needed.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, request a copy of information, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will assess requests under the rules that apply to you and may need to verify the request. We cannot retrieve dictations that exist only on your device.
7. This website & YouTube
The landing page’s animation is a visual demonstration. It does not request microphone access or record your voice. This page does not include a first-party analytics tracker, advertising pixel, account form, or marketing-cookie script.
The embedded film is not loaded until you press play. It uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. Once loaded, the player connects to YouTube and related Google services, which may process technical and playback information and use browser storage according to their policies. You may instead open the film directly on YouTube. See the Google Privacy Policy.
The website host may process ordinary connection and security information such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, and browser headers. A hosting provider may also use its own access-control cookies where sign-in is required. Store links take you to a separate service; its own policies apply.
8. App & purchase terms
Saybold is a voice-to-text tool. Review dictated text before sending or relying on it. Recognition quality varies with your speech, surroundings, language, chosen model, and device. Download size, storage, and memory requirements differ by model. Language support does not guarantee automatic switching between languages in the same recording.
Free and Full Access
Free access includes unlimited dictation using available Ultra, Mini, and Micro models and selected orb designs. Full Access includes premium models, all Voice Studio designs, saved history, personal vocabulary, and widgets. Monthly and lifetime purchases unlock the same Full Access feature set. Features and compatible models can change as the app evolves.
Billing and cancellation
Monthly access is a recurring subscription. A seven-day trial may be offered to eligible users and automatically converts to the monthly price displayed by Google Play unless canceled before it ends. Lifetime access is a separate one-time purchase without recurring subscription billing; it does not include a monthly trial. The final price, applicable taxes, eligibility, and purchase terms appear in Google Play before confirmation.
Manage recurring subscriptions in Google Play. Refund requests are handled through the applicable Google Play process and any rights provided by law. Nothing on this page limits mandatory consumer rights. The website itself does not take payments.
Responsible use
Use Saybold only where you have permission to record and process the information involved. Do not use it to violate another person’s privacy or rights. Protect your device and review text before placing it in another service. Third-party app and platform names belong to their respective owners and do not imply endorsement.
9. Contact, children & updates
For app help, purchase questions, privacy requests, or concerns about information a child may have shared with us, contact evolvosofts@gmail.com. The app does not create Saybold user accounts or ask for a date of birth.
When you use the app’s email-feedback feature, your email app opens with information such as the Saybold version, device model, and Android version prefilled. You can edit the message and choose whether to send it. Emails you send also disclose your email address and whatever content you include.
We may update this policy as the app or its providers change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, communicated through the app or another suitable channel.
